Our popular 10K route around the National Trust's Hughenden Manor estate near High Wycombe.

Situated within the Hughenden Valley, this race features some truly spectacular woodland trails.

It is a hilly run with plenty of ups and downs to tackle, providing a brilliant and rewarding challenge whatever your fitness level.

Route Description

Set in the beautiful countryside surrounding Hughenden Manor, this 10K course follows a mixture of woodland and rural trails.

There are no major road crossings to worry about so you can focus on enjoying the race and tackling the ups and downs.

Some sections will be wet and muddy and trail shoes are essential.

There will be a water stop situated at approximately 5.3km to the route. Cups will be available, please use the bins provided and do not litter under any circumstances.

Our event base is situated at Hughenden Manor. A National Trust property and previously the home of Benjamin Disraeli, a former British Prime Minister.

There is car parking, toilets and a cafe all available on site.

The start/finish area can be found on the park grounds close to the church.

How difficult is this race?

The race takes place over hilly terrain and this represents the main challenge.

We encourage runners to adopt a hike/run approach if necessary, particularly as the majority of climbs are followed by flat or downhill sections.

Where can toilets be found at this event?

There are fixed toilet facilities onsite at Hughenden Manor.

How can I attend this event without a car?

High Wycombe train station is a 25 minute walk from our event base and is served by regular trains to/from London.

What footwear should I wear at this race?

Please wear trail running shoes for this race. The footpaths are generally good quality and should be realtively dry but there are always section of mud in the forest all year road.

What prizes are awarded at this event?

There are awards for the top three male and female finishers overall, along with age category awards for FV40, MV40, FV50, MV50, FV60, MV60, FV70, MV70.

How do I follow the route using my phone or watch?

Most GPS watches allow you to upload a GPX file of the route for you to follow whilst running. Typically this is done by loading the GPX file into the app (i.e Garmin Connect), and then syncing your phone/watch together.

If you don't have a GPS watch we would recommend using OS Maps (£20/year) or Strava Premium (£48/year).
